March is always a busy month for me. I often take mission teams to various places for spring break and have for years. I've always appreciated that this month in particular I get to live out Jesus' farewell command to his disciples just before he ascended. "Therefore, Go and Make Disciples of all the Nations..." But over the last several years I've often pondered how one of those "Nations" is ours and it needs the message of Jesus just as badly as the others. Being a good neighbor to those around would most certainly include sharing the powerful life changing news of Jesus. In fact the Apostle Paul said that it was the only reason for continuing to live. "To Live is Christ and to Die is Gain". I unfortunately find that Christians often shy away from sharing Jesus with those close to them for fear that it may effect their relationships negatively. I would ask the question "How much would you have to hate someone to not give them the message of salvation?". Jesus was clear that he is the only way to fulfillment in this life and the next. How could we not give that gift to all we come in contact with? My challenge for you and your family this month is to engage, discuss, proclaim to anyone and everyone the salvation Jesus gave us by his death on the cross. It's what He commanded us to do.
