Hey Student Ministry families!

As we approach the mid-point of the semester, it's fun to look back over the past month - we've gone to Winter Retreat, which deepened our relationships and set small groups up for a successful spring semester. We took 6 weeks and answered some of the biggest Bible questions - and now we've got more students reading the Bible and wanting to get into God's Word than before. And we put together the team for our summer missions trip to Laredo - and we're excited to get started building the team and training for what the Lord will do in Texas this year!

This month...

 - we're taking a look at what makes Jesus so amazing in our new series, Simply Amazing!

 - the Laredo Team starts getting ready for Texas. Our first team meeting ended up getting rescheduled to March 4.

Everywhere Jesus went, people were amazed. They were amazed at His presence; they were amazed at His teaching. Even his enemies were amazed. When people encountered Jesus, their life became great because of how amazing He was... although the route to greatness might not be what we expect. From His miracles to the way He loved the disciples, strangers, Pharisees, the sick, the unlovely, government officials - all of these people encountered the Amazing Jesus. 

So what’s so amazing about Jesus today? Does He make any difference in one's life? Is Jesus ever amazed at us? If so, what makes one amazing? For 3 weeks we'll help students discover this Amazing Jesus as we look at different encounters with various types of people and see why He was and is so AMAZING.

Learning to parent an athlete takes intentionality and lots of patience! As parents, our role isn’t to be the coach (unless we coach our kid's team) but to bless and guide our children toward a higher, God-given purpose. This playbook includes five gospel-focused plays to help parents foster healthy, well-rounded, athletes who value competing well and growing in character as much as they enjoy winning.
