May was terrific, and there were a few moments where things slowed down!

The Fast Food Formal did not disappoint and was as enjoyable as ever! FSM Sophomore Easton Mellick challenged students to choose kindness!

Our High School In & Out was the perfect break from packed study and extracurricular schedules.

It's beginning to feel like Summer because Summer is around the corner! Seniors are days away from graduation, and everyone else has started their countdowns.

We're looking forward to promoting students in just a few weeks, including welcoming our new 6th-grade students. Their FIRST FSM event is Meet in the Middle PLUS on Friday, June 13th, and they officially move into Middle School on Sunday, June 15th.

Our 8th-grade students officially become High School students on Sunday, June 15th. Their FIRST High School event is this Friday, June 6th, In & Out: Late Night Out. Their LAST Middle School event is Meet in the Middle PLUS. The details of both events are below, and 8th-grade students get a discount if they attend both!

The Class of 2025 is welcome to continue participating in FSM through Summer Camp until school starts back in Kent! That means their last day with us is Wednesday, August 20th.

(HS) In & Out: Late Night Out
Friday, June 6th6:45 PM - 11:45 PMLOCATION: Drop-off and Pick-up - Faith Church High School Room
This Friday is our last In & Out of the school year. Our 8th graders (incoming Freshmen) will join our High School students for our LATE NIGHT OUT!

We are heading to Secoma Lanes in Federal Way this year to bowl together! Bowling with students has this funny way of leveling the playing field and paving the way for laughter, good conversation, and wacky shoes.

On our way, we will make a pitstop at Dick's Drive-In. So feel free to send your students with extra money to purchase Seattle's most iconic burger and shake (or the "refreshments" at the alley—you know, bowling alley food).

We will arrive at the alley slightly before our tee time for an ice cream sundae tailgate!

Since we are heading off campus, please know these three things:

1) Every student will need to register (and pay $25) so we can ensure we have enough seats.

8th graders - select "Both" to save $10.

2) Every student will need a 2025 Release Form. If you have filled one out this year, you're good to go! If you would like to confirm the status of your release form, please email [email protected], and she will help you!

3) We will leave campus at 7:15 PM; students must be on time for this event. If you will be late, please email [email protected] to see if an alternative plan can be worked out.

This event's drop-off and pick-up are in the High School Room at Faith starting at 6:45 PM and ending at 11:45 PM.

(MS) Meet in the Middle PLUS

Middle Schoolers, grab a friend and join us for Meet in the Middle!

Meet in the Middle is our mid-month Middle School Youth Group Night. June is extra special because:

1) We extend the time and go off-site for some extra fun.

2) Our incoming 6th-grade students AND our outgoing 8th-grade students are invited to join us!

This month, we're heading to Big Air in Auburn.

Since we are headed off campus and to a separate facility, please know these three things:

1) Every student will need to register (and pay $25) so we can ensure we have enough seats.

8th graders - select "Both" to save $10.

2) Every student will need a 2025 Release Form. If you have filled one out this year, you're good to go! If you would like to confirm the status of your release form, please email [email protected].

3) You will also need to complete the Big Air Release Waiver.

When we return to the church, we will do THE Impossible Shot, introduce students to FSM, and enjoy ice cream sundaes!

Drop-off and pick-up for this event is in the High School Room at Faith starting at 5:30 PM; this event ends at 10:30 PM.

THE GATHERING
The Gathering is for 6th-12th grade students. We gather to worship together, look at God's word, and have some fun! The Gathering is a great place to get to know God and meet some new people. Join us on Sunday mornings during the 9:00 AM service in the High School Room (on the northwest side of the campus).

The Gathering will happen every Sunday in June!

Sunday, June 1st - The Making Of, Week 2

This Sunday, we'll hear the story of when Jesus was tempted in the wilderness and who he turned to when he needed direction.

BIG IDEA: When you face temptation, ask God for help.

WHERE IN GOD’S WORD: Luke 4:1–13; Hebrews 2:18; 1 Corinthians 10:13

Questions to ask your student this week:

Read 1 Corinthians 10:13.

How does it make you feel to realize that no matter what temptation you are facing, you aren't the first person to deal with it?

What might be keeping you from asking for help (from God or friends) when facing temptation?

Can you identify the moments in your day when you are more likely to do something you know you shouldn't?

What is one boundary you can set up this week that might help you with the temptations you regularly face?

BIG IDEA: With God, difficult moments can help our character grow.

WHERE IN GOD’S WORD: John 15:16–22; Psalm 27:7–14; Romans 8:28

Questions to ask your student this week:

Why do you think it's difficult to believe God is present when you are in a challenging circumstance?

Read Romans 8:28.

What do you think about the idea that God can make good out of any situation?

What would it look like for you to ask God to make good come out of a difficult situation you recently faced?

How easy is it for you to ask for help?

How do you think inviting other people to know about your difficulty makes it easier to handle?

Who is one person you can reach out to for encouragement to "keep going" in the middle of difficult moments?

What signs can you pay attention to that can let you know when you might need to make things right with God?
We'll wrap up the month of June with a brand new series, On Your Own. It's a perfect series to kick off the Summer as students have extra time with friends coming up and this series is all about friendships!

Asking for help, solving puzzles, or overcoming challenges, can reveal the real strength behind friendships. Quality friendships can help us move forward! So, what does it look like to develop game-winning friendships? In this 4-week series from the Old and New Testaments, we'll explore how godly friendships can make a difference when we're in the hot seat. We'll see how God's words can help our friendships grow, how our friends can help our faith grow, the ways God can help us choose our friends wisely, and how God can help repair broken friendships.

This Sunday, we'll hear from Paul about some qualities we can look for—and develop for ourselves—when looking for quality friendships.

BIG IDEA: Your friends can help your faith grow.

WHERE IN GOD’S WORD: Luke 5:1–11; Proverbs 13:20; Proverbs 18:24

Questions to ask your student this week:

Are there qualities in a friendship that you think are deal breakers — things that would make being friends with a person difficult?

If you were Simon, how would you have responded to Jesus seeing something in you you hadn't yet seen in yourself?

Why do you think it's important to challenge your friends in healthy ways like Jesus did with Simon?

Have you ever experienced a friend helping your faith grow?

Read Proverbs 18:24.

What makes a friend "reliable"?

What characteristics come more naturally to you that would make you a reliable friend?

How have you seen conflict handled well in friendships?

What are Groups?

Real Relationships -

Groups are where students cultivate real relationships with God, each other, and our leaders. It’s out of these relationships that purposeful conversations, life change, and discipleship can happen.

Tangible Truth -

Together, we dig into God’s Word, and through purposeful conversation, we make its truth tangible. Groups are where students wrestle tough topics, study scripture, and pray together, all in pursuit of growing with God.

Our Group year wrapped up on Wednesday, June 4th.
