Hi families! Happy September! We hope you had a great Labor Day / Blueberry Festival weekend!
Dive is off to a great start. Last month we welcomed students back for another year of small groups, teaching, and connection as we follow Jesus together. We kicked off a new series called Messed Up - all about people in the Bible who failed and the God who meets them in their failure. We'll wrap that series up this month and head into our next series, Into The Deep End, about developing spiritual habits that connect us to God and others in a transformative way.
We're rebuilding our worship team after an extended time off last year. We're looking for musicians, vocalists, and tech people to lead a few times per month. Talk to Rich or Claire if you're interested. Rehearsals start on Sept 14.
Small groups are an important part of our student ministry. Every student gets placed in a small group community with the same peers and leaders for growth, encouragement, support, and accountability. Our groups have grown! And that's a great thing. But it also means we need some more leaders - specifically female leaders. Our aim is to have 2 leaders per small group. Currently, most of our girls' small group only have one leader. If you know of anyone who might be a great fit with middle school or high school students, send them our way!
