Hi Student Ministry Families!

It's August - that means school starts back soon. But with school comes the return of regular Sunday nights! Dive's Sunday nights resume on August 9th. Small Groups will be starting back up, new 7th graders join us, and we get to lean back into our weekly connections and rhythms.

As we get started for the school year, the youth room is coming along well. Things got delayed this summer while we waited for the floor to get redone. While we were hoping that the room would be 100% ready for August, it's not at that point yet. But we can and will be using it! Just expect that we'll be doing work each week to get things where we want them.

Below, you'll find our events for the month, what we're learning, and a back to school resource for families. We hope it helps!

This four-week series (Aug 9, 16, 23, 30) will help students embrace their God-given identity, refuse the labels the world tries to assign, and become who God says they already are.

This series is built around one of the most important questions students face: Who am I, really? Students hear answers to that question constantly, from friends, from their past, from social media. We’ll be spending four weeks helping them cut through all of that and build their identity on what God says about them and giving them tools to live from that foundation. 

This isn’t a self-help series. It’s rooted in Scripture, and our goal is to help students see themselves the way God sees them and let that change how they navigate everything else.

The guide includes a reminder to parents to focus on what truly matters, a guide to making wise decisions, a 6-week back to school family devotional, and a fun back to school bingo that focuses on blessing, encouraging, and praying for others.
