New High School Series: Got Questions?
We live in a Post-Christian culture, which means that anybody who believes in God must be able to provide a rational reason for their faith if they ever want to reach those who do not know God. In this series, our hope is to 1) equip our students who have faith to engage in conversations with those who not believe, and 2) give a rational reason for why we are Christians to those who are not.
November 3rd: How do you know that God is real?
What do you do if a friend or someone asks you how you know God is real? In this message, we will be answering that question with 3 answers: Personal experience, Creation (also called the Kalaam argument), and C.S. Lewis’ moral argument
November 10th: What makes Christian faith different?
There are many beliefs about different gods out there. How do I know that Christian faith is really it? We’ll be looking at the testimonies of those who recorded Jesus’ life to distinguish Christian faith from all other faiths.
November 17th: Is the Bible reliable?
If we can’t trust our scriptures, does any part of our faith mean anything? This is an important one, because we will be talking about the historical accuracy of the Bible, and how faith and reason partner with one another.
November 24th: Problem of Evil
How can a good and powerful God and evil co-exist? Sarah will be tackling the problem of evil this week.
