Back in September, I set a challenge for the teens to complete 1000 Quiet Times, and as of right now they are at 983! They have one more week to reach their goal, and if they do so, we will have a reward night to celebrate!
The reward night will consist of:
1. Pizza buffet
2. Icecream bar
3. Among Us (In real life)
4. Other fun games and giveaways!
All students (7th-12th grade) are invited to the church from 6:30-8:30 PM on Saturday, January 30th.

Cost: $5.00 (Use Promo Code "PAYLATER" to skip payment during registration)
Teens Involved is an annual Christian service event designed to encourage teens to discover and use their God-given spiritual gifts. The emphasis is not on competing with others, but for teens to become better-equipped servants for God’s honor and glory.

This is a few months away, but we will begin practicing soon. I will send out more information in the coming weeks, but for right now here are the categories that your teens can participate in:
Speaking Categories
Preaching- Senior High and Junior High are evaluated separately. Teens should deliver a message from God’s Word lasting 10-15 minutes, and end with a call to action and prayer. A brief outline must be submitted to the evaluators before preaching.
Teaching Children- Senior High and Junior High are evaluated separately. Lessons should last 7-10 minutes and can be actual stories from the Bible or a lesson with a Biblical message. Pictures, flannelgraph, and props, etc., may be used but must be provided by the teen.
Special Presentation- Senior High and Junior High are evaluated separately. This is a Bible presentation such as an object lesson, Gospel illusion, or monologue that teaches a Bible lesson in a creative way. These should be 5-10 minutes in length.
Puppets- Senior High and Junior High are evaluated separately. If a group is mixed, they will compete as Senior High. Puppet shows should have a Biblical theme and should not last more than 10 minutes.
Drama- Senior High and Junior High are evaluated together. Dramas should have a spiritual application and should not last more than 10 minutes.
Music Categories
Choir- Senior High and Junior High are evaluated together. Any group of 9 or more is considered a choir. All songs should be God honoring and be approved by your Youth Pastor prior to Teens Involved.
Vocal Solos and Groups- May use a soundtrack (must be on CD) or live accompaniment. Vocal groups include any group with 2-8 singers. All songs should be God honoring and be approved by your Youth Pastor prior to Teens Involved.
Instrumental Solos and Groups- This category includes any non-keyboard, traditional or non-traditional instruments. A group is considered any instrumental performance with 2 or more performers. Music should be God honoring and be approved by your Youth Pastor prior to Teens Involved.

Creative Writing Short Story- Senior High and Junior High are evaluated separately. Stories should be original, have a spiritual application, and be less than 2000 words.
Creative Writing Poetry- Senior High and Junior High are evaluated separately. Poems should be original and have a Biblical theme or application.
Creative Writing Gospel Tract- Senior High and Junior High are evaluated separately. Teens will design and create an original tract showing a lost person how to be saved. You may use any format or layout you choose.
Video Introduction- Senior High and Junior High are evaluated separately. This may be done individually or as a group. Teens should create a video that could be used in youth group to promote a lesson, discussion, activity, or the youth group itself. This may include interviews or dramatic recreation of real-life situations. Videos should be 3-5 minutes in length.

This can be any form of art, for example, painting, drawing, sketching, photography, sewing, cross-stitching, pottery, woodcarving, etc.
