I used to love our family's Christmas Traditions. It always got me into the Christmas Spirit. Whether it was the series of movies we would watch at the end of the days, or decorating the house and setting up the manger scene, or the smell of Christmas Cookies being made and put into tins to share, there was always something to fill the month with.
Last year, I didn't get to partake in the watching of movies, because I was working two full-time jobs. Both last year and this year, I haven't felt like I could really decorate where I live, because I don't want to cause any "damages" that would take away from my security deposit. And, I definitely didn't have the time to make Christmas Cookies for friends and family last year, due to not having time.
But, New Chapters in Life mean New opportunities to start New Traditions. One such new tradition in the past two years has been going to a This Hope Christmas Concert. Another has been the craziness of driving home on Christmas Eve after work, so I can spend Christmas Day with my family. (One that will continue this year. We'll see how long THIS tradition lasts. LOL)
I look forward to continuing several traditions of the WDBC Youth (Like Crossroads Summer Camp, and the trip to see the Christmas Lights), as well as starting a few new traditions (like the This Hope concerts, or how we do our Christmas Parties, or maybe some new trips and events!)! I look forward to closing out the 2019 year with all of you!
