We've been hacked!!
Last week, someone decided that they wanted to shut down the BCC Facebook page...they hacked a personal account, got into the page, removed everyone as administrators, and deleted the page...and because of their efforts, we cannot get our page back. We are discussing exactly how we want to move forward, and in the interim we do not have a Facebook page...which means, outside of the Route28 page, there isn't a way for us to promote events via Facebook.
This is where you come in...We will need your help in promoting some events as we discuss our plan for external communication.
We create all of our graphics in-house and they are readily available for anyone who wants to promote a particular event to share to their personal social media accounts. Sometimes, like this week, we will include a graphic or two in the email to subscribers for them but if there's ever one you want, all you have to do is email [email protected] and we'll get it to you!
The biggest immediate impact of the page shutdown is VBS. In an effort to create the opportunity for as many kids as possible to attend and experience VBS, we promote a Facebook ad each year...that cannot happen this year, so we need as many of you as possible to share that graphic (either writing your own post or sharing someone else's) so our reach can still be vast regardless of whether or not we have a Facebook page.
If you're writing your own post, we just ask that you add something that says "For more information, visit www.browncorners.org/vbs".
Thanks for understanding and thanks for sharing!
For more info, registration, and volunteer signup, head over to www.browncorners.org/vbs
This is NOT the graphic we want you to share...we have a separate one available just for kid signup. If you'd like that and you're not subscribed to the email list, email us at [email protected].
We have the greatest local school employees in the entire history of schools. Period. Last year, we started this venture...blessing them and reminding them that we see them and that they matter...by simply providing a meal for them on their last day. We're doing this again...but this time, we're adding Farwell Area Schools & Harrison Community Schools into the mix!
We are starting today with Harrison and we are beyond excited to share our appreciation by grilling some food for over 500 people!! Please join us in praying for a restful Summer for all of our teachers!
