Parents,
We just wrapped up a two-week series on the subject of doubt. We explored the lives of John the Baptist and Abraham and talked about how even these men of faith and obedience experienced moments of doubt. We wanted to remind students that church is a safe place where we welcome them to come with the tough question we might have regarding our faith and Christianity!
Because of Mother's Day and Memorial Day, we will only have one more ROCC Youth this month. The plan is to have an outdoor worship service on the back hill on May 21 from 4-6pm. If the weather cooperates, we will have a big group game, acoustic worship, a message, and then enjoy a bonfire and s'mores. If the weather does not allow us to be outside, we will have youth and small groups inside like normal.
THE DEADLINE FOR OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL MISSION TRIP TO KENTUCKY REGISTRATION was this past Sunday, May 7. Please see the box below on how to signup if you missed the deadline and please do so ASAP so we can have an accurate idea of how many job sites, cabins, van rentals, t-shirts, etc. we will need for this summer.
Fundraiser update: Our Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser is this Friday, May 12, from 5-7pm. We are asking all students to arrive by 4:30 pm and to wear any ROCC Youth T-Shirt they might have and a pair of jeans. We ask for students and any parents who might be available to help us get the tables and chairs cleaned off and put away once the event is over. Students can sign up for different needed roles toward the middle of the webpage at roccyouth.org or by following this URL: https://signup.com/client/invitation/6775657374/1473573/false#!128/false/false
ALL RAFFLE TICKETS AND MONEY/STUBS MUST BE TURNED BACK IN BY 7PM ON FRIDAY AS WELL!
Our summer interns, Justin Graham and Emily Amar, will be starting on Monday, May 15. They will be emailing all parents of BigStuf and KY participants to let them know what their final balance will be the week of May 15.
Have a blessed month and Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers of our students! Thanks for what you do!
Lavish blessings,
Brian
