Wednesday Nights are Back!!!

We kick off our Wednesday night programming tonight. We begin a new year with a new schedule, but students can expect the same fun and excitement that they have come to love.

5:00 Dinner--Fellowship Hall(donations will be collected to cover the cost of the meal)

5:30 Engage (Jr. & Sr. High study) --Teen Center (Adult studies also offered during this time)

6:30 Worship--Chapel 

Engage is a mid-week program designed to reach students where they are spiritually while at the same time exploring what it means to engage the world as Christians.   We will have a time for fellowship and games before breaking into small groups for discussion.  For four weeks we will look at discipleship and what it means to take our faith to the next level.     

September 10: We Kick off our Sunday Night Experience!

Sunday nights are an incredible opportunity for students to come together to fellowship and share their talents; whether musically or during our Bible study, as they grow in their understanding of who God has called them to be.   

SNE is back!! We kick off our first night with Slip'n'Slide Hockey.  We have combined two amazing games, floor hockey and a slip 'n' slide to make a night you won't want to miss.  

After Drums, Bells and Choir, students will eat dinner before playing our first annual game of Slip'n'Slide hockey.  Students will need their swimsuits, (no bikinis unless covered by a shirt), towel and a willingness to have an amazing time.  

Does your student have a friend they have been wanting to invite, but didn't know how?  This is a great night and time to invite a friend to join us.     

Pinnacle’s African Drum Ensemble provides an instrumental music experience for students in grades 6-12. Students learn drum techniques on a variety of drums and often compose their own pieces for the ensemble. The Sonoran choir is for enthusiastic students in grades 6-12 who love to sing! This fun, inclusive choir focuses on learning basic vocal technique and cultivating individual singing styles. The choir learns songs of various styles, including Gospel, Classical, Contemporary Christian, Jazz and A cappella, and sings in the morning worship services throughout the year. Though sheet music is used, students are not required to read music. Youth Handbell Ensemble is for those students in grades 6–12. Some previous ringing experience is preferred but not required to ring in this choir. The group rings for Sunday worship several times throughout the year as well as participates in Christmas Eve service and other special events. Is your student looking for a service opportunity? Do they want to give back to those in need?  Maybe they just want to hang out with their friends while serving God.  We have an opportunity that will do all three.  

Highlands Church is hosting a Feed My Starving Children Mobile pack on Friday, September 29 (arrive by 5:30, pack time is 6:00-8:00) and Saturday, September 30 (arrive by 8:30, pack time 9:00-11:00).  We have 20 spots available each night.  You can RSVP through me at [email protected] or by clicking on:

To host a mobile pack cost over $100,000.  To help offset their costs Highlands is asking every volunteer to please donate to help support the food you will pack.  Just so you know, each package of food cost roughly $0.25.  The average person packs between $25 and $50 worth of food during their 2-hour shift.
