Sundays in December Middle School students will continued to be combined with the High School students. (We will split beginning 2018). We are continuing our series on "The Gospel" going over the details of the Gospel and ways to remember it. We use our hand to keep track of the main points of the Gospel.
Pointer Finger: God created everything (you can point at a tree and say "God made that")
Middle Finger: Humanity sinned and offended God (middle finger has quite a bit of social implications...we all know.)
Ring Finger: Jesus showed a great act of love by coming down to earth. (Ring finger, like marriage, great act of love)
Pinky Finger: We are weak and cannot pay for our sins ourselves, so Jesus became died on the cross for us. (Pinkys are weak-can't do anything with them!)
Thumb: Accepting Jesus' payment on the cross we are able to go ro heaven, and it's great (Thumbs up!)
Tuesdays in December we are beginning a new series called 'A New Season's Greeting.' This series will take up through common sayings we hear around the holidays and offer new Christmas sayings that focus on Jesus, rather than general good feelings. The purpose is to keep our focus on Jesus though materialism and the world's take on Christmas try to blur (or completely block) His truth and image.
