Yosemite Bible Camp is designed to guide students on their journey of following Jesus by helping youth and students develop into devoted Christians with a foundation that will last the rest of their lives. We address current, relevant topics through scripture and we challenge students to genuinely engage their heart, mind, and soul in activities that glorify God.
Junior high and high school students can sign up to participate in the Student Leadership Program, which provides an opportunity for 7th-12th grade students to put their faith in action by learning to serve out of love for God and a commitment to following Jesus. A portion of the students’ day is spent participating in a variety of capacities such as taking care of facility needs, assisting teachers, helping with activities, and as junior counselors alongside adult volunteers. Distinct recreational and spiritual events are prepared to foster spiritual growth.
Early Bird Registration Deadline: May 31st.

WHAT IS IT?
Go Bako is a 5 day / 4 night “Stay at Home Service Trip” for junior high & high school students (and college students as staff) in Bakersfield and greater Kern County. We believe that following Jesus means following his example of serving and loving our neighbors, and that is what Go Bako is all about!
WHAT WILL STUDENTS DO?
Students will participate in service projects throughout the city that meet the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of our community. Over the past few years, we have volunteered with several local nonprofits and Christian ministries including The Mission at Kern County, Bakersfield Homeless Center, The Hope Center, Covenant Community Services (which operates Covenant Coffee), The Ronald McDonald House, and Teen Challenge.
GO Bako participants will also serve as the staff and coaches for Westside’s Mega Sports Camp.
In addition to serving in our community, we also have free time, organized group activities and all kinds of delicious snacks for our participants. And the best part is that it’s all free!
