Summer is here...almost! We are very much looking forward to the summer here at Holy Trinity and what we have planned. We hope you have some time this summer to relax, visit family & friends, vacation and grow in your faith. This month's newsletter will hopefully help you with that! Please read through the following resources, recommendations, and articles we have compiled for parents. And then see what events are open to your son/daughter in the month of June.

Congratulations to the 133 young people of Holy Trinity who received the Sacrament of Confirmation last month on May 15th. We packed over 1200 people into the church to witness this special moment in their journey of faith as they became fully initiated into the Catholic Church and received the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Please continue to pray for their ongoing journey of faith and that they will remember that "Confirmation is not Graduation".

We also welcomed some new Servant Leaders to our team! Over 60+ high school students gathered for lunch on the grass, some fun games, and an introduction of what it means to be a Servant Leader. Thank you to everyone who attended and to the parents who supported this meeting through their donations.

Servant Leadership is open to all Holy Trinity students who have been confirmed and currently in their junior or senior year of High School. The team serves our Church in various ways – as co-catechists in our Middle School and Confirmation programs, small group leaders on retreats and with various Youth Ministry and parish-wide events. If you would like to get involved please contact Andrew.

When the summer days get long and hot, the gift of free time can become the burden of boredom. In this video, Fr. Mike shows us how boredom can also be a gift if we take the time to be creative, instead of just looking for something to distract us like food or social media.

A PRAYER FOR SUMMER

Father, Creator of all, thank You for summer!

Thank you for the warmth of the sun

and the increased daylight.

Thank You for the beauty I see all around me

and for the opportunity to be outside and enjoy Your creation.

Thank You for the increased time I have to be with my friends and family,

and for the more casual pace of the summer season.

Draw me closer to You this summer.

Teach me how I can pray

no matter where I am or what I am doing.

Warm my soul with the awareness of Your presence

and light my path with Your Word and Counsel.

As I enjoy Your creation, create in me

a pure heart and a hunger and a thirst for You.
