Summer kicks-off here at Pathway Church on June 10 when we recognize and promote all our students to their new grade. This means we will have a fresh batch of 6th and 9th graders attending their respective small group for the first time on Sunday!
Summer is a busy time of the year, especially for youth ministry! Students are excited to be done with school (at least for the time being) and they look forward to the fun and excitement the summer promises to offer. Often times, this is an opportunity for you and your family to get away for some kind of vacation. As this summer sets in, let me encourage you to not get completely lost in the summer events, but use them as opportunities to not only connect with your students, but to also disciple them deeper into their relationship with Jesus. How do the vacations and events your student will be a part of help them in their personal walk with Jesus? And yes, a family vacation can do that- it can be an opportunity for students to learn the value of family and why God has blessed them with. Whatever you do this summer, know that Pathway's student ministry is here to help you (and believe me, we have a lot of events for just that purpose!).
Let me introduce a major way we can help you and your teen this summer: Pathway United. This is a high-energy, high-impact, co-ed middle school and high school large group experience every Wednesday night (June 13 - Aug 1) from 6p-8p here at Pathway Church. Pathway United will consist of fun and exciting activities, both indoors and outdoors. There will be peer-led worship from a combined band of middle school and high school students, along with relevant biblical teaching, focusing on Ephesian's understanding of unity. Pathway United will be preceded by Pathway Takes Over... A Tuesday night, one hour fellowship at local Redlands hangouts. There is a lot going on this summer, so please pay attention to all the specific information listed below. As always, http://pathwayonline.com/students is a great place to stay up to date on what is happening.
I'm already praying this summer is great for you and your teen!
