Hey everyone,
Hey everyone,
I'm very excited about the new school year starting up. We've added some terrific adult leaders that I'm thrilled to have as part of the team. I know they're equally thrilled about this opportunity. On top of that, the teaching we'll be kicking off the semester with is enough to be zealously praying about that God would work through it in a clear and powerful way.
Middle School will be studying through the life of Jesus in the book of Mark. A huge part of Presenting Students Mature in Christ is giving them an accurate view of the real Jesus. That's why the Middle School team will be teaching through the book of Mark not for one month, not for one semester, but over the course of the entire school year! Even if you don't have a Middle School students, we ask that you pray for the Middle School students to be exposed to the real Jesus that they would recognize how loved they are by Him.
High School will be studying the book of Philippians throughout the entire Fall Semester. This is something I've been studying for and am overwhelmed by how many wonderful truths are in this book. Again, we ask for your prayers. If you're interested in praying for our Middle and High School students during youth group this school year, Kristi Grimes leads a prayer group during youth group.
Sunday School: I have been praying a lot over Sunday School in particular this Summer as we've been splitting boys and girls up to talk about biblical manhood and womanhood. I've been writing the guy lessons and Sierra has been writing the girl lessons. We've experienced some great discussions during these studies and we're grateful for you as parents raising your children in a way that makes it easy for them to accept the challenge to be mature men and women of faith!
