As quickly as it came, summer is wrapping up to make way for another school year. Crazy! This summer has been full of summer camps, a mission trip to Kentucky, reaching out to our community through Kids Sports Camp, and various beach trips to build community and friendships. All in all, a God-honoring summer where we have seen teenagers come to know Jesus and make major faith-based decisions.
While at summer camp, students were challenged to stay on Mission-- to go and make disciples. As we transition into the fall season and prepare for the school year, let me challenge you and ask you: How does your family seek to make disciples? This may seem a daunting and overly-challenging question, but let me assure you, it does not have to be. This is why community and the church is so important! It is God's established design for you and your student so that you can have support as you strive to be more like Jesus every day. If you and your student faithfully seek God through the context of a local church, you will see disciples. I hope, amidst the school functions, family trips, and holidays upcoming that you will model and stress to your student the importance of staying connected to the church. Let us walk alongside you this year! Blessings!
