This time of year is always my favorite (and probably everyone else's too)! For me it begins with a big, scrumptious turkey dinner, with full on mashed potatoes and gravy, and ends with quality time with family around a fire while opening Christmas presents. It is all the Christmas music and movies, community events, and I think the overall spirit of Christmas that I love. However, before all that, there is plenty going on here at Pathway!
With the holiday season there are plenty of events for your students to not only celebrate both Thanksgiving and Christmas, but also connect with other teenagers their age, while growing in their faith. Amidst the craziness and good times of the holiday season, let me encourage you towards Christian Charity. That phrase, "Christian Charity," used to be iconic and mean something all unto its own. I hope for you and your family you will seek to establish just what that means for you and your students. What are some service projects you and your teenagers could do together to bless others? Feed the homeless? Donate clothes and food items? Ring a bell?! Find something this Holiday Season that models for you and your students what it means to serve, after all, isn't that the reason for the season?
