Love the City is about investing in our community and city through caring for and loving those around us, those that are invisible to others.

On April 27 we will gather at the church at 7:45am and leave at 8am for the bus station. At the bus station we will continue our work of investing in people through sharing food and drinks, along with time for conversation and hearing from another person. At 10am we will clean up and head out from the bus station, heading to Homestead Hills retirement community. At Homestead Hills the youth will share music that was used on Youth Sunday with the residents. For those who might not be musically inclined we will take oversized games to engaged with other people. Retired people are some that as they get older seem to fade into the background with people forgetting about them. On this morning we want to share in music and games to provide a word of encouragement and some much desired contact and connection with other people. Upon finishing at Homestead Hills we will provide lunch for the team at Camel City BBQ. Lunch will be paid for by the church along with tokens for their arcade. We should return to the church by 1pm.

This Sunday morning in both the 8:15am and 10:45am services the sign team will help in leading worship. This will be the last time the team will lead until next school year starts. We are encouraged by this ministry and are thankful for each of the students and adult leaders who participate in this form of worship. All team members are asked to be in the sanctuary at 7:45am.

Sunday morning will be the last KidNection worship for the school year. We appreciate all of the students and adult leaders who help in leading this time of worship. Thank you for mentoring and investing in the children of the church and community each of the times we worship together. Your time leading worship makes a difference!

After worship on Sunday morning we will have a KidNection Lunch celebrating the end of the year and recognizing the seniors who have invested their time and energy into KidNection. This lunch is for all students and adult leaders who invest/help with KidNection. Please RSVP for the lunch by Thursday to [email protected].

Until frisbee starts at the beginning of summer (June 9) we won't have any Sunday evening activities. We hope this time can provide space to spend with your family or get caught up on school work and studying for upcoming exams.
