Greetings and salutations,
I hope that all of you are well as the school year raps up this month. It seems that no matter what time of year it is we are always too busy and your teens are no exception. Right now they are working on projects that you just found out about. They are getting ready for end of year concerts, ball tournaments, and hopefully studying for those end of year tests. Then when you add Mother's Day and Memorial Day plans, family reunions, and a plethora of other activities in, we shouldn't be shocked when we are overwhelmed.
However in the midst of all this activity, let us not miss the opportunities that God gives to show our kids what is most important. To show them what it looks like to rest in God's goodness. We must show them that He can give peace to the storms we often create. We need to lead our kids to depend on the one who is always dependable. Let's face the facts, we all learn better when we experience His goodness rather than only hearing about it in church, so don't be afraid to walk with your kids through the troubling things. Show them that God is the one who will make it right in the end, even when you might not know how He is gonna do it. That is faith.
As far as the student ministry is concerned. I want to make you aware that we only have 3 spots left for our Summer Retreat in Helen. If your teen either wants to go and hasn't signed up yet, or if they have a friend/relative who would like to go please contact me ASAP. We will be buying the Braves tickets the first week of June, so I need a final headcount before then.
God bless your family,
Samuel Dingler
