Hey everyone!
I trust we all had a wonderful summer filled with at least one vacation, albeit even just a day trip somewhere. I know much of my own was filled with work! Just a quick update on where we are here in Bethel Robinson Youth: We recently finished up our 4 week study on Paul and are continuing to read verse by verse in the book of Mark for Sunday school. As of right now, our youth and adult discipleship classes have teamed up on Wednesday nights for a series over the Apostle's Creed. If you or your student has not yet joined in on this study I encourage you to do so. I've had several of the adults come to me and say how much they enjoy being with the youth during this time to hear their thoughts and convictions during this study! How awesome is it that our old are learning from our young! Also during the summer we took a break from meeting formally on Sunday afternoons, and based on feedback from some of the youth we will continue this trend for the time being. While on one hand I am saddened to lose this teaching time with them, I am also encouraged that they recognize that this is their youth group and had the courage to speak out and voice how they enjoy the casual lunch every now and then rather than having a set plan each week. Oh to be a teenager again where I don't have to be concerned with plans! As always if you have any prayer requests or would like to talk with me about anything I will always have an "open door" for you.
Below I've attached a short article that I think many of us might find helpful. Feel free to read over it and try some of it's suggestions this semester with your kids.
