Additional information for first-timers: We camp in cabins on bunk beds while at Camp. You bring a pillow and sleeping bag and you're all good to go. During the day we eat our meals in the brand new cafeteria and we meet for our sessions in the Chapel. During our free time we get to do a selection of special activities that varies depending on weather and interest. These include lasertag, zipline, giant swing and more. There are other optional activities available to play at will including trout fishing in the creek, basketball, human fooseball, hiking, 4 square, group games, relaxing by the campfire and much more. If we can help in any way to prepare you for this amazing camp event or answer any questions please reach out to me (Pastor Jim) or any of the youth leaders going on this trip: Nate, Erin, Caleb, Dan.
To bring: paper Bible, snack to share, refillable water bottle, sleeping bag, pillow, towel/washrag, hygiene items, clothing for indoors and for outdoors (look at weather day before), active shoes, coat if it will be chilly, pen, flashlight.
cell phones: there is no need for cell phones, but students are permitted to bring them along for the van ride. During the weekend we ask that all cell phones be kept packed away. Our goal is create many opportunities to connect and this works better when cell phones are tucked away. There is little to no cell reception at Camp anyway.
fishing gear: there is an amazing class A Trout stream surrounding Camp that we have exclusive access to. Anybody interested in fishing during freetime can bring gear along.
money: NO cash is needed at Camp but Kanesatake staff usually will open the Camp Store Saturday for anybody who wants to purchase a souvenir or an extra snack. This is optional.
2025/2026 CMF Youth Permission Form: reminder that this must be on file with CMF before we leave.
Food and Meals: we eat good at Camp! Saturday we eat all 3 meals and Sunday breakfast and lunch. Friday night there is no official meal though we will have a very special latenight snack! I highly recommend that students eat a quick supper before meeting to leave Friday evening (or pack something to eat in vanride out)
Contacting us at Camp: you can text Pastor Jim at Camp if you have an urgent need. Please note that sometimes reception is very limited at Camp and it may be better to also send a message via Remind which connects via wi-fi. There is still a third option of calling Camp through their office.
