If you just finished watching the live stream of our Resurrection Sunday service or watched it later on YouTube then you know Bruce preached about Jesus addressing Thomas' doubts. You also heard Bruce preach about how it's okay, as Christians, to have doubts. In fact, Jesus welcomes our doubts.
Somewhere along the way this belief surfaced: "If I have doubts about Jesus then I don't have faith." Nothing could be further from the truth and Jesus' interaction with Thomas shows us that doubts are okay, as long as we take them to Jesus. But that particular belief carries so much weight that we keep silent about our doubts.
Knowing Jesus welcomes us with our doubts should encourage us to be open with those doubts. Take a few moments and as a family, or individually, and respond to the following question:
What are some doubts you've had about God in the past or currently have?
Have each person in your family answer the question while being respectful and loving with each answer. Don't be afraid to be honest.
