We are so happy to see more families on our campus on Sundays!
In an effort to help our youngest and wiggliest attenders, we are providing a "Family Room" each Service, located in the main building, Middle School Room. This Family Room is for a parent(s) and children 2nd grade and younger (children have to be supervised by their parent/guardian at all times) and will offer a space with tables and chairs, with the Service live-streamed on televisions. Masks and social distancing are still required. Bring your own snacks and quiet activities for individual play. This room is offered on a "first come – first served" basis and will close once it reaches maximum capacity.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Faith Church, in partnership with Meridian Elementary School, will provide Thanksgiving dinner for up to 20 families this holiday season.
You can participate with your family or Life Group by adopting a Box! (Adopt-A-Box here.)

We have been highlighting staff over the last few months and decided to introduce you to our new Lead Pastor Steven Hill and his family. Since Steven began his service here in September, he admitted that he is “still learning where all the fun hiding places are on campus when [his] son comes to visit and play hide-and-seek!” He stated that he is grateful to not be the “new guy” for very long as Stu Chapman is joining us as our new Children’s and Families Pastor.
When asked about his family, Steven shared that he and Hayley have been married for ten years and are grateful for their son, Amos, a sweet, smiley, red-headed two year-old. “Hayley and I met in college and I knew she was wonderful from our very first conversation. We love being outside together and exploring new places. Amos loves typical boy stuff (dump trucks, sticks, etc.) but is also really funny and sweet.”
As the Lead Pastor, Steven does a little bit of everything. He said, “I love studying God’s Word to create compelling, relevant, biblical sermons for Sunday mornings. I also love spending time with our staff, encouraging them in each of their ministries, and praying for God to move in and through their life, family, and ministry.” Steven says one of his favorite tasks each week is following up with those who visited Faith for the very first time on Sundays, “I have enjoyed getting to grab lunch and coffee with several volunteers in the church and look forward to getting to know more people who make Faith Church such a great place to be!”
Steven said he enjoys that Faith Church has a desire to be used by Jesus, “This desire informed our current sermon series, and it stemmed from my observation that Faith Church is not a church relying on its history by looking backward. Instead, it appreciates all that God has done in and through us. This church body also wants to see ministry improve and increase and continue to reach new people for Christ in our community, and to the ends of the earth.”
If you haven’t picked up on it yet, Steven has a great sense of humor, evident as he shared this unfiltered staff-life story: “Jake and I were together for our regular weekly 1-on-1 meeting when we decided to drive to Chick-fil-A for lunch - because we follow Jesus. On the way back, not far from the church, a lady in an SUV pulled out RIGHT in front of us trying to turn into her neighborhood and I had to slam on my brakes. We almost collided with her and she showed no concern whatsoever. Grateful to be alive, we looked to the backseat, where I had stored God’s chicken in my son’s car seat. We were devastated to find that the whole bag had tumbled down and every single waffle fry was now on the not-so-clean floorboard. When we returned to church, we both picked the fries off the floor, put them back in their cardboard containers, and ate every single one of them with smiles on our faces. We are grateful to be alive, and grateful to serve at Faith Church!"
In hopes for the future of Faith Church, Steven would like it to be a place known for its radical generosity, singular devotion to Jesus, and a place that people far from God can hear the Gospel clearly, and be welcomed into the family of God warmly. "Far too often, churches that have existed longer than ten years or so begin to turn inward and circle the wagons against outsiders. They begin to fight over certain ministry programs or personal preferences in worship. I am so glad that doesn’t happen here. 50+ years in and Faith Church is excited to see new people come to know Christ, grow in Him, and learn how to make a spiritual difference in the life of someone else."
Fun favorites of Steven’s:
Book: East of Eden by John Steinbeck.
Movie: Gladiator
Ice cream: Chocolate chip cookie dough (I strongly dislike chocolate ice cream…)
Vacation spot: Yosemite National Park
Habit: I consume an unhealthy amount of coffee almost every day
