Gretna Glen Work Week is a daily service/camp experience for all students grades 6-12. For most of the day, we will serve in a couple teams and help Gretna Glen improve their grounds and their ministry! Gretna Glen has been a significant part of so many COGS kids' lives; this is a great opportunity to pass on that impact to a new generation of young people! After our work day wraps up, we will spend time every day doing favorite camp activities--swimming, boating, nature hikes, high ropes, picnics, and more! Finally, each night, we will wrap up our day by sharing a camp dinner together!
Schedule: Each day, students will arrive at Gretna Glen by 8:30 AM with a packed lunch! We will work through about 3:00, with a lunch break somewhere in the late morning/early afternoon! Then, from 3:00 - 5:00 each day, we will participate in favorite camp activities like swimming, boating, hiking, high ropes, picnics, and more! Finally, from 5:00 - 6:00 each night, we will conclude our day with a camp dinner to share fellowship together!
On Thursday, we will conclude the week with a campfire from 6:00 - 7:00 that helps us close out the week with some group reflection and faith-talk!
Cost: $20 per day, $50 for the whole week, and no more than $125 per family!
As with last year, we have a sliding scale cost associated with the camp work week! These costs help us purchase construction supplies, pay the staff who facilitate our activities, and pay for each day's meal!
COVID Protocols: We will follow any and all procedures that Gretna Glen requires. Last year, we were able to remove our masks anytime we could maintain social distancing of more than 6 feet; we will keep everyone updated as we learn more!
Sign-up Details: Our sign-up deadline for the Gretna Glen Work Week is March 31, 2021!
