Greetings to All,
The months keep on rolling by. Let me begin by saying, if you would like a visit at your home, please let me know. I am ready to get back in the swing of things and maybe you are as well. The hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living places are slowly opening back up to visitors. I certainly respect and honor your decision as to where you stand on these things.
We had a great Easter service. Attendance was awesome (144). We had great fellowship after with about 70 staying for hamburgers, chips and desserts (that were to die for). Then we had a brief children’s Easter egg hunt.
We are in the process of getting Sunday School opened back up. The students have been meeting for quiet some time and we have had a sanctuary class. Beginning this Sunday (04/11), Bro. Sonny Withers S.S. class will start meeting back in their regular Sunday School room. The rest will begin meeting in the fellowship hall with Bro. Ray teaching this class. We will also have some children’s classes starting back. This is going to be a slow process so we do appreciate your patience.
Second Baptist has been active in feeding Monticello High School baseball and Soccer teams. We have also painted Mrs. Bernice Hill’s porch. She was so appreciative! We still offer our assistance if you need us for anything. In the coming weeks I will be sharing some information on an outreach opportunity that we all can be a part of, so stay tuned.
I hope you all have a great rest of the week. This Sunday, we will get back to our theme, #RESET. We will begin a series looking at priorities in our lives. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday in person or on-line.
I Love You All,
Pastor Ray
