Hey Parents,
We’ve got a couple of special events happening in the next couple of months just for you and your teenagers, so keep reading!
This weekend's weather looks to be bad. So we are going to postpone our fishing trip. We will give you a date and time soon as we have worked out the details.
Ever play the game Clue? For this game night we will be playing the game in real life.
We will need some adult leaders willing to act out roles and give out clues during the game. Please Contact Samuel if interested.
This year our Summer retreat is going to be at the beach! We will have a ton of fun and learn about Christ.
The price for the trip is now set at $185/ student, but we will have a few fundraisers between now and then to help offset costs.
WAITLISTED: A 4-WEEK SERIES ON DOUBTS & QUESTIONS
SERIES OVERVIEW:
You know that feeling you get when someone makes you a big promise? You probably feel excited, but you might feel a little skeptical too — especially when that promise gets delayed . . . and delayed again . . . and again. If you have to wait long enough for something you were promised, you might start to wonder when you’ve waited long enough. Eventually, you might even give up hope. In this 4-week series, we’ll meet a handful of people from Scripture who each spent a long time waiting on God. From the stories of Abraham and Sarah, Paul and Silas, King David, and Joseph, we’ll discover that God has a plan, but we might have to wait for it, and we’ll be reminded that, while we’re waiting, God is faithful, God is listening, and we should never give up, because God’s not giving up on us.
Your teenagers might be facing some major disappointments for the first time in their lives — and they need you to help guide them through it. Here’s how: 1) Let them feel it. 2) Offer perspective. 3) Share your stories of disappointment. 4) Assure them they’ll be okay.
