Where on earth has summer gone?! It's not quite over yet, but it seems as if there's only a sliver left before we're back to school again! I pray that each of you have had a fantastic summer and gotten in some quality time with your youth. I am looking forward to another great year of Youth At Aley (YAA) and can't wait to see all students in grades 6-12 back together!
Our weekly, Wednesday evening gatherings will resume after Labor Day with the first one scheduled for September 8, 6-7:30pm. Until then, we have a couple of fun events planned to help celebrate the end of summer!
Sunday, August 1, 4-7pm we will have a pizza and pool party at Idle Hour Swim Club. Students should be picked up and dropped off at Idle Hour. This is a free event and there will even be some prizes. Please RSVP to Pastor Abby by July 29.
Friday, August 13, 5-9pm we will have a bowling, laster tag, and pizza party with some prizes at Poelking Lanes on Woodman Drive. For this event, we ask that students are dropped off and picked up at Aley in the Activities Building (smaller white building near the road - the old church). This event is also free and 9pm is our approximate return time, we will encourage students to keep in touch with you should that need adjusted. Please RSVP to Pastor Abby by August 11.
Both of these events will be open to those entering grades 6-12 and students are encouraged to bring friends - this is a great way for students to get their feet wet with YAA!
