October 12 - 18

This week we welcome UNplug to our Wednesday night. This encourages all students to be off of their phones and enjoy playing games, be outside, enjoy conversation, and simply be away from the stress of life. We will gather in the courtyard and enjoy our time together, 6-7pm.

Worship Arts & Music will have their kickoff on October 17. Whether you have been involved in the past or this is your first time, we welcome all students to join us. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to participate. Worship Music & Arts offers sign team, handbells, and choir. The afternoon will kickoff at 4pm with sign team, handbells will follow, and end with choir. Afterward all students will be bused to Miller Park for the churchwide picnic. A special dinner will be waiting for students at the park. If your family is not participating in the churchwide picnic, you can plan to pick them up from the Miller Park lower field.

For the next year the Youth Leadership Team is going through a discipleship focused cohort with the Fuller Youth Institute. We were invited into the soft launch of a new discipleship framework that we will customize for our ministry and location. We are one of 46 churches and organizations chosen. We are looking to put together a parent team that will go through the content and have conversation about the different modules that will guide us in creating a new way of discipleship for the youth ministry. We are looking for 5 parents willing to take this leap with us. In having parental input we believe this will help give us a well rounded viewpoint. We also have 2 students who have agreed to be part of these conversations. Please contact Dane ([email protected]) if you are interested.

Fall Retreat is almost here! We are still signing up students and hope you will join us for a great weekend. If your student knows someone who they would like to invite, feel free to invite them to the retreat. Fall Retreat is a great time to invite a friend, and get to know other students in the youth group. Each student will be glad they participated in the weekend.

Pivot Plus is an extension of Pivot and aims to further support, encourage, and equip alumni of the Pivot program. November 14, 3-5pm Pivot Plus is hosting a training for the lady alumni on zoom meetings.  Ladies will be trained on how to participate in a zoom meeting, sharing of inspirational messages, and social time. Any youth young ladies who would like to assist with the zoom portion of the training please let Dane know. The zoom training portion would last about an hour.
