Join us each Wednesday evening for Refuge Bible Study! We will worship together before hearing a message from God's Word. Afterwards, students can enjoy snacks in Common Grounds while playing foosball, ping pong, or our newly built carpet ball on the Third Floor, or spend time playing in the MAC Gym until 8:00 PM.
On Wednesday, April 6, we started a Bible study series in Refuge that is called "Why I Believe." This will be a 5-week study on apologetics (defending our faith). Each week, we will take a look at historical, scientific, and Biblical evidence for the eternal truths regarding our faith in Jesus.
Through this study, we will discover why followers of Jesus can have complete confidence in what Christianity teaches about:
* The Resurrection
* The Bible
* The Afterlife
* Creation
* The God of the Bible
Also, if you missed it at Refuge this week or just want to watch it again, here is a new song by Chloe & Mary, titled "Why I Believe":

We would like to invite each of you to join with us in learning how to better protect your children and our students. One of our church's partners, MinistrySafe, is offering FREE Parent Training for the month of April. You can access this FREE resource by going to ministrysafe.com/April/.
Parent Training Topics Include:
- Facts and common misconceptions related to sexual abuse.
- Abuser characteristics.
- The offender's 'grooming process' and 'common grooming behaviors'.
- What to do if you suspect abuse or if a child reports abuse.
- Peer-to-peer sexual abuse.
- Teaching your child about sexual abuse.
- The 5-Part Safety System.
As a parent, no one will influence your child like you do. MinistrySafe Parent Training and resources provide parents with facts derived from sexual offender studies allowing parents to recognize the offender’s ‘grooming process’ before their child is groomed for abuse.
Although this is not a COMPLETE list, I want Student Ministry families to begin marking your calendars RIGHT NOW for some of the events that are coming up in 2022!
-> June 27-July 1, 2022: Youth Camp @ Camp Chaparral
-> July 11-15, 2022: Super Summer @ Wayland Baptist University
More details about these events will come as the time for them draws closer and there will certainly be some other awesome events that will bless our students as well, but I want you to begin to mark your calendars right now for some of these awesome ministry opportunities that we know about already!
Press On,
Michael Murrie
