Cost: This trip will cost 1,700 dollars. There are a few options for fundraising to help with costs. (Fundraiser Envelopes, Online Drives, Support Letters, Asking friends & family to make your Christmas present be money for Puerto Rico, and more).
Agenda: We will help with hurricane relief work and gospel advancement in Puerto Rico by working in Municipalities and helping local residents.
Fun: Students will have the opportunity to enjoy the beach and a Rain Forest visit one of the days we are in Puerto Rico.
Education: Each day will include personal/group Bible study and worship services to challenge our students and provide them with an opportunity to grow spiritually.
Who can come: We suggest that only students who are going into 9th grade and older attend this trip. Parents are welcome to come but should contact Stephen for details. We will also allow post highschool young adults to participate in the mission trip if they adhere to the appropriate vetting process and communicate with Stephen.
Other Details:
1) There is NO need for a passport to travel to Puerto Rico.
2) Participants are advised to be up to date on standard vaccines, such as Tetanus, Mumps, Measles, and Rubella. The Hepatitis A vaccine is also recommended. Be sure to bring bug spray (at least 25% DEET) and reapply regularly before you apply sunscreen.
3) We will fly in and out of San Juan Airport (SJU) in Puerto Rico.
