On February 25, Faith Church is excited to host THE PARENTING MATTERS WORKSHOP. It is our desire at Faith Church to support and equip you to parent your kids well. At this event, Faith Church will be joined by Dr. Joel and Patty Chapman who will coach parents on practical parenting "pearls" they've learned over the years. Dr. Joel Chapman is a Pediatrician of 40+ years, raised four kids alongside Patty, and has 15 grandchildren! Both Dr. Chapman and his wife, Patty, have spoken at numerous parenting conferences, marriage events, and hosted retreats for couples. Plus, they are the parents of our Kids & Family Pastor, Stu Chapman... just don't hold that against them :) At this event, you will hear from our guest speakers, engage in round table discussions, and have a Q&A time. To sign up and for more information, please go to THIS LINK.
At Faith Kids, we love having fun! Even better is having fun with a purpose! At this First Friday event called THE SHAMROCK SHINDIG, your kinder-6th graders will be joining their peers and small group leaders for a night of games, crafts, laughs, and memories. Building Christ-centered community is important to Faith Kids! Events like THE SHAMROCK SHINDIG give us the chance to build relationships with your kids! The event will start at 6pm in the Worship Center and end at 7:30pm! To register, go to THIS LINK.
On June 16, Faith Kids will host a graduation celebration for both the 5th & 6th grades. We are looking forward to celebrating your kids, their elementary accomplishments, and encouraging them one last time before moving into the Faith Student Ministry (FSM). Kent School District has announced that all incoming 6th graders will move into middle school. Faith Church will be following the lead of KSD and moving our incoming 6th graders into FSM as well. This means all of our incoming 6th & 7th graders will be moved into FSM on June 18, when all kids are promoted to their next small group and invited to join FSM Summer Camp.
For parents of incoming 6th graders, we will be giving your kids a special offer this summer. Because many of our incoming 6th graders were unaware of this change last summer, we will provide them with one last opportunity to be a part of MEGA Kids Camp as campers. They will not be needed as volunteers for MEGA so their only chance to participate at MEGA will be as a participant.
The Kids Team will be sending all of our current 5th & 6th graders a "save the date" postcard to remind you of these changes and a couple more events!

Each week, your family will be provided with new content that relates to what is being taught in Faith Kids. We are excited to hear stories of families utilizing this resource!
