I'm convinced, and probably can't be convinced otherwise, that Groundhogs Day is phony. Take away the fact that the groundhog almost ALWAYS sees his shadow...we're gonna have six weeks of winter regardless. It's usually about this point of winter when I get sick of it...holidays have passed, winter retreats are over, the only thing left to do this winter is complain about how cold it is (which I've done quite well this week!).
In various avenues, I've shared on the difficulties of my Fall. From near-crippling anxiety & panic attacks in Aug/Sept, to a few close relatives passing in Oct/Nov, to beginning my Christmas vacation by conducting my uncle's funeral...I've had my fair share of struggles...and much like the struggle of a long winter, I've found myself asking "When will it end?".
Whenever that question is asked, I'm immediately drawn to David's words in Psalm 13.
Hold fast to the Lord...6 more weeks until Spring!
