"Jesus Is Still Better" Overview
We are starting the second half of a series through the book of Hebrews called "Jesus Is Still Better". The points and discussion questions below are intended to help you engage in Biblical conversations with your student(s) about what they are learning on Wednesday nights.
Week 1
Points
Hebrews 7:23-28
- Jesus's priesthood is eternal.
- Jesus endured temptation on earth without sin.
- Jesus offered his own life as the ultimate sin offering.
Discussion questions
1. What did you takeaway from the message tonight?
2. What is a high priest?
3. Why is Jesus the perfect High Priest?
4. Hebrews 4:15 tells us that Jesus is able to sympathize with our weaknesses and he understands our temptation. How does knowing this help you fight sin?
5. Do you struggle to believe that Jesus is better than anyone the world offers?
Week 2
Points
Hebrews 8:7-13
Characteristics of the new covenant:
- Implanting God's law in our hearts.
- Knowing God personally.
- Forgiveness of sins.

1. What did you take away from tonights message?
2. What is the difference between a covenant and a contract?
3. How would you describe your relationship with God? Covenantal or contractual?
4. Is your relationship with Christ more head knowledge or heart transformation?
