Hey Parents & Guardians---

Welcome to March, the month of Spring Break, March Madness, and Allergies (If you are anything like Ryan).

We want to share some encouraging words with you prior to diving into some of the Student Ministry Content. Part of being a Christian Parent/Guardian is learning to listen to the voice of God. We listen because we want to know his will and to be in a relationship with him. But often, we think God will speak to us as he did with Moses. In these “burning bush” kind of moments. He can clearly speak to us this way, but God also speaks in a whisper, a still, small voice. Your student(s) need to understand that God doesn’t just speak in big attention-grabbing ways. He also speaks through the Holy Spirit in the small pulls and nudges on our hearts. As Christians we must learn to listen to his voice. One of the things you will see later on in the Newsletter is information about our Sunday Morning content...this month we are doing a series called "Focus." Focusing on some Spiritual Disciplines, things that will help us grown in our Faith Journey.

2023 Spring Events...
Mexico Mission Trip
March 12 - March 167am - 10pmLOCATION: Acuña Mexico
Our Team is in place and will be leaving for Mexico on Sunday, March 12th.

Please be in prayer for the 15 people from Cedar Ridge and 3 others joining us from a Church in Iowa. Pray for Strength & Energy for the build, while also resting well and building community in the downtime. Pray for courage and boldness to share the gospel when windows of opportunity are presented.

Bless-A-Neighbor Easter Egg Kit
April 2LOCATION: Your Neighborhoods/Community
This Easter, BLESS a family around you by giving them the gift of an Easter Egg Hunt anytime during the week leading up to Easter. Our Next Gen Team will provide you with all the supplies necessary to pull off an intentional “Yard Egging” (either surprise or coordinated with the family). The Easter Egg Kit comes complete with plastic eggs, candy, a door-hanger with explanation, and an Easter Invite Card to put in one of the eggs as well.

Please sign up before Noon on Wednesday March 29th letting us know you’d like to participate, and how many houses/families you plan on “Egging”. This will give us ample time to prepare the kits and have them ready by April 2nd (the Sunday before Easter)

Easter Egg Kits can be picked up at the Welcome Center desk on April 2nd, or in the Church office on Monday, April 3rd.

Graduation Lunch

For all BA Campus graduating seniors and their families: we’re honoring our 2023 grads with a Graduation Lunch on Sunday, April 30th. Please join us at 11:45 a.m. in the Ridge Student Center. Grads eat free; family members are asked to make a donation for the rest of the family.

Be sure to let us know you plan to attend and provide us with a little bit of information about the graduate, and what kind of sandwiches your family would like…RSVP & 2023 Grad Form COMING SOON!
Seniors Now Invited to Young Adult Bible Study

Seniors are now invited to join the Young Adult Bible Study held on Thursday Nights at 6:30pm

The Young Adult Bible Study is Led & Hosted by Noah and Lauren Mebane for young adults (age 18-25) at 6:30pm Thursday Nights (2304 West Nashville Court, Broken Arrow, OK 74012). Food provided. For info contact: [email protected]

June 4, 2023 Promotion Sunday is the day that all children and students at all campuses will join their new groups based on the grades they are entering this fall.

BROKEN ARROW CAMPUS
- Ridge Kids Early Childhood (Nursery - Pre-K):
  
  Nursery/Toddlers (newborns - walkers) - purple room
  
  2 year old class - green room
  
  3, 4 & 5 year old class - blue room
  
  Special schedule for students starting Kindergarten this fall:
  
  Drop off in the Early Childhood area as normal. We will have a short “celebration” with their friends and each student will receive a small gift and a graduation certificate. Marcia will then walk the Kindergartners over to their new classroom in the Ridge Kids Elementary building to meet their teacher(s) and become familiar with their new location.
  
  When church is over, parents should pick up their child from the Kindergarten classroom in the Ridge Kids Elementary building. This room is to the left of the check-in station.
- Ridge Kids Elementary (Kindergarten - 5th grade)
  
  Check in at Ridge Kids Guest Services, then go directly to your new class.
  
  Kindergarten
  
  1st - 2nd grade
  
  3rd - 4th grade
  
  5th grade - (9:00 am - 5th grade students go upstairs. If they need help finding it they can ask at the check-in desk).
- Ridge Student Ministry (6th - 12th grade)
  
  MS (6th-8th grade) & HS (9th-12th grade): attend the 9:00 a.m. Worship Service in the Worship Center. At 10:30 a.m. meet in the Ridge Student Center auditorium for our large group gathering (Ridge Students take a break from Small Groups in the Summer, Small Groups will resume in the fall).
MS Camp (6th-8th Grade)
June 11 - June 16LOCATION: Sunset Bible Camp
June 11-16, 6th-8th Grade Students (Grade going into Fall of '23)

Sunset Bible Camp is tucked away in Mannford, OK and offers many activities including swimming, rappelling, wall climbing, zip-line, a Super Slide to the Lake, canoeing, and more.

During the week students will hear challenging messages, engage in relevant worship, and be challenged to deepen their relationship with God and with each other.

The Theme or our 6th-8th Grade week of camp is "Renew- Heart / Soul / Mind /Strength"
Meet at the church Sunday, June 11th 1:30 p.m. from the BA Campus

Return Friday, June 16th 12:00 p.m. to the BA Campus

The price-point for camp is as follows:
- Register before April 3rd: $195 ($55 Savings)
- April 3rd - May 1st: $225 ($25 Savings)
- May 2nd - May 28th: $235 ($15 Savings)
- After May 29th: $250 (No Savings)
A $50 deposit must be made upon registration

CIY MOVE 2023
July 9 - July 167:30am - 7:30pmLOCATION: Flagstaff, AZ
July 9 – July 16, 2023 in Flagstaff, AZ

CIY “MOVE” is a 5-day high school event held all over the country designed to amplify the call of Christ on students’ lives to become kingdom workers.

Cedar Ridge High School students (Going into 9th grade as well as 2023 grads) will be attending the MOVE Conference in Flagstaff, AZ from July 9 – July 16, and taking a trip to the Grand Canyon on Thursday July 13th.

Registration opens at 6 p.m. on December 4th. **The first 10 people to register get prizes awarded to them during the MOVE event.** The cost for the trip varies based on the registration date…sign up between December 4th and February 5 for the Super Early Bird rate of $295 (a savings of $155!) A $75.00 non-refundable but transferable deposit is due upon registration.

Registration costs are as follows:
- Super Early Bird Rate: $295 if registered between December 4 and February 5 (save $155)
- Early Bird: $350 if registered between February 5 and April 2 (save $100)
- Normal Rate: $400 if registered between April 3 and June 4 (save $50)
- Late Rate: $450 if registered between June 5 and July (no savings)
**The cost for Adult Leader (Currently Not a RSM Small Group Leader is $150), The Cost for Adult Leader (Currently a RSM Small Group Leader is FREE)**

Sunday Mornings...
Sunday Mornings at 10:30 In the Ridge consists of Worship or Games, Lesson & Discussion. We currently break up into Small Groups on a Sunday Morning and will be in Small Groups until Memorial Day Weekend in May.

Here's a Summary of our March Series: FOCUS

It’s not easy to stay focused. Especially these days, when we’re connected to a never-ending stream of new notifications, ads, messages, videos, posts, and entertainment, it makes sense if we feel a little distracted sometimes. Maybe you’ve struggled recently to stay focused on your homework, or on the story your friend was telling you, or on the movie you were watching — but have you ever struggled to stay focused when you were spending time with God? In this four-week series, we’re going to get honest about how difficult it can be to stay focused when we’re trying to pray, read the Bible, or grow in our faith. Each week, we’ll explore passages from Psalms and the Gospels as we challenge ourselves to focus on practicing four spiritual disciplines that can help us grow. Together, we’ll try focusing on what God has said, on giving something up, on talking to God, and on rest.

*IN THE EVENT THAT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY & STUDENT CAN'T MAKE IT... EVERY WEEK WE POST A 1-MINUTE RECAP VIDEO OF THE LESSON TO INSTAGRAM AND FB SO THAT YOU AND YOUR TEENAGER CAN HAVE SOME DISCUSSION AT HOME AS YOU DISCIPLE YOUR TEEN. Just one more way we are trying to partner with you as we ignite faith in the Next Generation.
