Monthly Kids Update: March
I can't believe we are about to be in March! I hope everyone has been enjoying the warmer weather. We have a lot coming up over the next couple of months, so please take a look at what is happening.
1) BIBLE MEMORY VERSE -March @ 9:30 am & 11:00 am - One of our values as a kids ministry is to store scripture in the hearts of our kids. Our elementary age kids will have an opportunity to recite the memory verse on the 2nd for a prize. The verse is Galatians 5:22-23B CSB.
2) Parent Commissioning Class-March 2 @ 11:00 am-Parent Commissioning Class is an opportunity for you all to connect with other families, and learn more about how we as a church partner with you to disciple your kids. If you want to participate in Child Dedication you must also attend this class. There is still time to sign up, so if you are planning on coming please sign up ASAP. 3) Invite a friend Sunday- March 23 @ 9:30 & 11:00 am-Over the next couple of weeks you will be hearing about invite a friend Sunday. We also want to challenge kids to invite their friends as well. We will be giving out a special prize for anyone who brings a friend. We hope to see everyone bring someone that Sunday.
4) Child Dedication-March 30 @ 9:30 & 11:00 am- Child Dedication is opportunity for families to declare that their home is the first mission field. It is an opportunity where we as a church will celebrate and pray over you as you disciple your kids. Anyone who wants to participate in this, must also attend the class. We believe it gives you a much better experience when you come to the classWe will be closing registrations very soon, so I need to know if you are planning on participating. 5) Next Gen Sunday-March 30 @ 9:30 & 11:00 am-This March we will have a 5th Sunday meaning it is Next Gen Sunday. Next Gen Sunday is an opportunity for families to worship together and for kids to serve. Elementary age kids will go to service with their families, but we will still have our discipleship experiences for preschool and under. If your kid is interested in serving you can have them sign up with this link.
6) Egg Hunt-April 12 @ 3:00-5:30 pm-We have one of our biggest community events coming up in April. We will have the egg hunt, but we will also have other family friendly experiences there. This a great event to invite someone to. You can register using this link. We will also need a lot of people to serve. You can sign up to serve with this link.
7)VBS 2025- June 23-26- More details will come soon, but I know many people start to ask when VBS is when the new year starts, so I wanted you all to at least have the dates. Like last year it will be in evening and it will be for kids entering kindergarten through completed 5th grade. We will have the sign ups live very soon.
8) Kids Camp- July 28th-August 1- I had shared this already, but over half our spots are filled up for camp. We still have spots left, so if you were interested in signing up now is the time to do so. Camp is favorite thing we do in kids ministry each year, and I would love to see your kids there. Centrikid is an amazing camp that provides fun games, engaging worship, and other age appropriate experience to help kids grow in their faith. This is an overnight camp at The Skycroft Conference Center in Middleton, MD. Camp is 350 dollars with a 75 dollar deposit. We ask everyone to pay the deposit, but we will have scholarships to help cover the remaining balance. It is for kids who have completed 2nd grade through 5th grade. You can sign up with this link.
9) Serve with us in kids ministry- As we continue to grow I am praying for God to raise up more leaders to serve in kids ministry. We are looking for people to serve in a variety of area in kids ministry. If you are interested in serving you can sign up for a training with this link.
10) Sub with us in kids- Our sub team is critical part of helping make Sunday mornings the best experience possible. Subs sign up for one weekend and service a month. It is very flexible, and it is a great opportunity for you all to learn more about why we do as a kids ministry on Sunday mornings. You can sign up to join our serving team with this link.
