The Gathering is for 6th-12th grade students. We gather to worship together, take a look at God's word, and have some fun! The Gathering is a great place to get to know God and meet some new people. Join us Sunday mornings this Summer during service time (9:30 AM) in the High School Room on the North-West side of our campus.
The Gathering at a Glance —
On July 2nd we'll finish our series in Joshua, Strong and Courageous. After that, we'll start a new series titled Rad. Rad is a series on loving others; here's the premise:
When Jesus was on earth, he had a lot to say about love, but not everyone loved him. Instead, Jesus'
opponents challenged him, attacked him, and even saw him as extreme — dangerous — revolutionary — a radical.
And they had a point! The things Jesus taught about loving God and loving others challenged the status
quo and changed the world forever.
That's pretty radical. In this 4-week series from the book of James,
we'll look at four ways Jesus invites us to love according to his revolutionary example. These ideas might
seem simple, but when we choose to listen more than we speak, refuse to play favorites, watch our
words, and fight for peace, we'll see just how radical Jesus' teachings are.
Sunday, July 2nd - Strong and Courageous (Week 3 - It's Time)
In this final week, we'll see that even after decades of seeing God do incredible things, the Israelites had idols hidden away. Joshua told them it was time to decide, to be all in for God!
