This Fall in FSM has started with a bang! Meet in the Middle was its usual fun borderline on chaos. Groups have been exactly what students were waiting for, and they came ready to go! And our Sunday teaching team has presented some thought-provoking content. 

With October comes some of the usual school year rhythms. Groups get to build on the relationships they established in September, and Sundays feel more like a part of the family routine. The SWEETEST NIGHT of the year is back, Meet in the Middle Candy Night. We have our first High School event of the school year and some excellent Parenting Equip Classes!

This Fall, Faith Church is pleased to offer FOUR Parenting Equip classes.

I (Jake) will lead one addressing technology and explicit content called Not My Kid! It's easy to think that it isn't your kid, but did you know:

• Most kids have been exposed to porn by 13. The average age of first exposure is 12.
• 73% of teens have viewed pornography
• Nearly 85% of teen guys have viewed pornography
• About 60% of teen girls have viewed pornography
• In one study, 75% of parents believe their child has never encountered porn. In reality, 53% already had

It's a PANDEMIC, so let's talk about it!

The other three classes are fantastic and taught by some of the most engaged parents I know. I hope you will consider taking at least one of these classes this Fall.

The Gathering is for 6th-12th grade students. We gather to worship together, take a look at God’s word, and have some fun! The Gathering is a great place to get to know God and meet some new people. Join us on Sunday mornings during the 9:00 AM service in the High School Room (on the northwest side of the campus).

Beneath the Surface is a series on Identity!

Who do you think you are?

You might define your identity around your skills, abilities, and gifting.

Those are great areas to start our journey of discovering who we are, but they don’t quite reach the center.

Picture this, when an oceanographer heads into the depths to reveal the ocean's mysteries, they need to prepare and have all the right equipment and guides. We need to prepare to do the same in our lives as we look to dive deep to discover who we are and who we are becoming.

As we venture beneath the surface of our own lives, we'll take a look at the formative years of Jesus’ life to see how his process of revealing his identity and purpose. Through stories of his personal experiences, habits, and relationships, we’ll find that we can see how God helps us understand our own identities. We’ll see how God’s words help us discover who we are, and how God helps us discover who we’re becoming. We’ll also learn how the right relationships help us discover how to grow and how Jesus helps us discover our purpose.
