Hey Church!

I would just like to start out by saying thank you! Thank you to all who donated items, volunteered your time to help sort and price, and then came out and found some treasures at this year’s Yard Sale for Missions. It was a huge success thanks to all of you! As of now, we have raised over $9000.00. We will give a final tally when it is all said and done, but it is already the best one ever! The first two weeks saw our mission’s team members and volunteers pour in a lot of hard work to get everything organized for the yard sale. Over 100+ hours were invested. The proceeds were hard earned, and our teams are looking forward to all of this hard work paying off when we go on our respective trips to share the gospel and minister to the people in Wyoming and Ecuador. This past month we also got to enjoy a worship service together outside and went and had our monthly Feed the Homeless serve day. We do Feed the Homeless on the last Saturday of each month, unless otherwise scheduled, and this is a great time for the church to come together and be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who are less fortunate in our community. I encourage you to come out and serve at least once. You won’t regret it! As we look forward, our Graduation Sunday service will be on May 4^th. There will be tables set up in the Sanctuary lobby to honor these graduates starting on April 6^th. There will be a journal Bible for each graduate on the tables. I encourage each of you to go by and highlight your favorite scripture, jot down words of encouragement or prayers, and maybe even leave a gift to congratulate them on this great achievement. Our graduates for this year are listed below.

Graduation Sunday: May 4th during the 11:00am Service- please stop by the graduate table in the Sanctuary Lobby and highlight your favorite verse(s), leave a nugget about a particular scripture, or some words of encouragement.

We need VBS Volunteers! If you or your student would like to volunteer for VBS, please let Josh know or contact Brian Benton.

D-Groups will begin in September, so we are beginning to look for D-Group Leaders. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Josh.

April 13th: Spring Fling- we will have a fundraiser lunch and easter egg hunt immediately following our combined worship service.

April 13th: Girl's Rule Trip to Culver's- Due to an oversight on my part, we are changing the date from the previously announced (the 12th) to the 13th. We will meet at the FAC at 5:30pm. Ice cream will be taken care of. If you would like to eat dinner while you are there, please bring money for that.

April 20th: Easter Services at Lakewood- Two services as normal on that day.

April 26th: Feed the Homeless- We will meet at the FAC at 11:00am to prepare to go and serve. We will gather together for lunch afterwards, so please bring lunch money.

April 27th: Missions Team Meeting- 4:30pm in the FAC.

April 27th: WMU Missions Ice Cream Social- will be at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. 

May 4th: Graduation Sunday- Graduate Recognition will take place during the 11:00am service.

All balances are DUE on June 29th.

Join us in the FAC on Sunday Mornings at 10:00am for our guys and girls small group time. Our guys are led by Jacob Baker, Colt Spires, and Gabe Hedges. Our girls are led by Jordan Baker, Naomi Masuoka, and Beth Hedges.

Over the next few weeks, we will explore the feeling of emptiness that every person experiences: the longing for more, the feeling that something is missing. This void was created when humanity rebelled against God in the Garden of Eden and can only be filled by a relationship with our Creator. That relationship was made possible by the death and resurrection of Jesus. Thus, we find fulfillment at the empty tomb.
