Student Ministry Christmas Party

It's time for our Student Ministry Christmas Party!! We will be gathering at 4p to load up & head out for Christmas Caroling with the shut-ins of our church. When we arrive back to church we will have dunner then dive into an evening of Christmas games, activities, worship and a Christmas devotional.

When you sign your student up, do so by responding to this email with your student's shirt size.

Wednesday Night Schedule

This week we will continue our Advent series "Christmas Gifts" with the lesson "The Gift of Peace." We will be looking at Luke 2:8-20 as we focus on the truth that we have access to the peace that passes all understanding.

Questions to ask in the car or around the table:
1 - God chose to enter the world as a baby born in a stable. What does this teach us about God's values?
2 - How can we maintain a sense of wonder and awe in our faith, especially amid the busyness and distractions of everyday life?
3 - The shepherds encountered Jesus and immediately began sharing the Good News with others. What does that mean for us today?

This Sunday we continue through the wilderness with the Israelites in Exodus as we learn that worship and trust are right responses to God's provision in our lesson "Bread from Heaven." We will be studying Exodus 16 this week.

Ice Skating @ The Square
January 26p - 9pLOCATION: Marion IL - The Square
On Thursday January 2nd we will have an opportunity for students & leaders to come together and go ice skating on the square. Middle School Students will be skating from 6-7p, High School Students will be skating from 8-9p. I currently have 20 student and 5 leader tickets for each skating time, I can always get more but the rink only does a max of 40.. Sign up early! We will be meeting there, when tickets are gone no more registrations can happen.

Victory Dream Center - Christmas Celebration
January 1110:30a - 4pLOCATION: Meet at Aldersgate GYM/ALC
Join us as we head over to the Victory Dream Center to help serve by passing out food, and helping lead worship during their lunch church service. We will gather at Aldersgate at 10:30a to load up and head over. This event will be over around 4p. I will have students text/call with an eta when we head home.
