Wednesday we talked about Luke 13. In this passage Jesus points us to the only way to enter the kingdom of God, repentance and faith in Christ. Jesus reminds us of our desperate sinfulness. He also reminds us of God’s patience and mercy. Ultimately, Jesus wanted everyone to repent, that is the heart of God. (See Ezekiel 33:11 and 2 Peter 3:9) So, first and most importantly is to look at ourselves and make sure that we have truly repented and put our faith in Christ alone. From there we should look outward to others who we need to share the gospel with.
Here are some questions that you can discuss with you teen.
- What is repentance? Why does it matter enough for Jesus to talk about in this passage?
- Why does Jesus tell us to “strive to enter the narrow door”?
- What is God’s attitude or feeling toward people who are unrepentant?
- Who are you going to share the gospel with this week?
