SUMMER CAMP 2025!

 

For FSM students and leaders, camp has become the highlight of every year!

It's a week packed with fun, competition, relationship-building, worship, sharing from scripture, learning, deep conversations, and meaningful community—a great opportunity to grow with God!

Two reasons come to mind:

 

1) Jesus told us that he came so that we can have life to the full! We may be biased, but Washington Family Ranch is the best place to have Summer Camp! It's full of opportunities for loads of fun (seriously--it will be the highlight of their summer). Every year, we see lots of smiles, create amazing memories, and new life-long friendships form. We love everything about that, and we honestly believe that God loves everything about that because he loves being a part of the moments we love most.

 

2) We believe that environments like this are the way every student can take one step closer to Jesus! That's our goal at camp: one step closer to Jesus. A week of camp is like a year's worth of Sundays when it comes to relationship building, Bible teaching, and growth. You don't want to miss Summer Camp!

This year's camp is for all students currently enrolled in 5^th-12^th grade. In other words, all students entering 6th grade (Middle School) next year through the class of 2025 are invited to camp!

 

This year, we have ONE week of camp! Camp for middle and high school students starts Sunday, August 10th, and goes through Thursday, August 14th.

 

Camp has been rebuilt and reimagined over the last few years and we're continuing on that success! Rest assured, every day, we will have two sessions (morning and evening). The morning will be focused on individual growth and devotional time. The evening sessions will be combined with Calvary Community Church (from Sumner) and Anthem Church (from Hayden, ID) and we are so excited to welcome back our friend Michaela Boyd, our Summer Camp 2023 speaker! We will still have a mix of combined and age-split activities for Middle School and High School.

SUMMER CAMP IS SUNDAY, AUGUST 10th - THURSDAY, AUGUST 14th

 

We will meet at Faith on the morning of the 10th and head to camp together, so there is no need to worry about how to get students to camp. Students need to arrive with all their luggage and a sack lunch (or cash for lunch) that morning. Dinner will be at camp that evening. Don’t worry too much about these details; you will see them a few more times, this is just to get us started.

 

Camp is at Creekside at Washington Family Ranch (you can check out their website, but please know that we've rented out their facility, so some of the final details will be slightly different. The website, however, will give you a feel for the facilities and activities). The address of the camp is:

Camp ends the morning of Thursday the 14th; we plan to be home in the evening. Students will need to bring some money for a late lunch stop* on the way home and should plan to have dinner at home.

 

*If purchasing a lunch is a burden for your family, please let us know so we can coordinate an alternative lunch plan for your student.

The cost covers travel, meals, the program, the activities, any summer camp takeaways, photos, and any other camp expenses that may arise.

 

Here are the payment options:

1) Pay in full when registering starting 4/16/25:

Camp is $699 - A one-time payment at registration.

 

2) Payment plan:

Camp is $699 - 4-Part Payment Plan*—Our automated payment plan is back this year. Please have a debit or credit card ready to set up recurring payments (this is another cost—and time-saving measure).

Payment 1 (Deposit): $174 non-refundable deposit is due at registration (starting 4/16/25)

Payment 2 (Installment): An additional $175 is due by Friday, May 16th

Payment 3 (Installment): An additional $175 is due by Monday, June 16th

Payment 4 (Final Installment): The remaining $175 is due by Wednesday, July 16th

 

Sunday, July 6th, is the LAST day to register for Camp (if spots are available) and the last day to drop out.

Anyone registered on that day will owe the entire balance, even if they cannot attend camp.

 

How can I afford that?

1. Save. We announced a tentative cost (the same as the final cost) in advance so that you could start saving. You still have a few months left to save. Students, do what you have to do: start babysitting, do yard work, get a Summer job, sell some things, etc.
2. Call. You have family, friends, uncles, grandparents, and neighbors who like you a lot! Give them a call, send them a letter, sit down, and have a chat to see if they would be willing to sponsor you! Every year, we have students who get part of camp paid for by people who love them. People know that camp changes lives, so they want to help cover the cost of camp to invest in you and see your life changed forever!
3. Fundraise. Individually or with friends, you can always host a fundraiser! Some families have hosted childcare events, multi-family garage sales, or offered classes to teach their skills to others. What is something you can do as an individual, a family, or a Group that could help raise money for camp? 4. Scholarship. We have scholarship money available. If you need help paying for camp, there is help! You must fill out a scholarship application (also available in a printed version at Faith). The forms need to be in by Sunday, May 11th. There may be opportunities beyond that week, but to get a response to you in a timely manner with guaranteed funds, we need the forms as early as possible. Please note that a deposit is still required except for very special cases (if you believe you have a special case, please email Jake ([email protected]).

 

Money should not be an issue. If the above options still do not cover the cost of camp and money is an issue, please get in touch with us so we can make special arrangements. Money should not stop anyone from coming to camp!

In years past, I (Jake) have had students get camp completely paid for by grandparents and by doing fundraisers; we had others that received significant discounts through the scholarships available. With a little bit of work and extra thought, camp is possible for everyone, BUT you have to start working on plans NOW!

 

*We have an option for special cases if you need your payments split into five smaller payments. The final payment will be due on August 6th. Please email Denise ([email protected]) to set that up.

Registration for summer camp opens at our Summer Camp Blitz on Wednesday, April 16th, at 5:00 PM (before Groups). This means registration will be at Faith, in person, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM (or until we're done). If you cannot make it to church that evening, registration links will be added by Thursday morning.

In preparation for the Blitz, use the links below to complete the items like our release form and scholarship application.

 

 

If you can't make it to the Blitz, follow the simple 3-step registration process that will open on Thursday morning. You will want to register as soon as you can because space is limited, and we will not be able to get more spots.

 

Step One:

Register EACH student online and pay the $174 non-refundable deposit or more. All future payments will be made online. You can also request scholarship assistance by filling out a scholarship application; we will have printed copies available.

Step Two:

Make sure each student has turned in a 2025 FSM Release Form. If you need to know if you've turned one in for your student, email Denise ([email protected]). If you filled one out for any offsite events in 2025 (Cook-Off, World Vision Serve Day, etc.) or preemptively because you are super on top of it, you are good to go for Summer Camp and the rest of 2025 (unless you turn 18)!

 

Before registration starts at Blitz, we will draw the name of one student with their release form completed and confirmed by 5:00 PM on Blitz day. The winner will have their deposit ($174 value) paid for! You must be present to win.

Step Three:

Fill out an online YoungLife Release Form (please select "Calvary Community Church Aug 10-14, 2025" as your Group or Church Name and type "Faith Church" in response to Which organization are you coming with).

 

***Your student is not registered for camp until all three steps are complete***

 

Three points of note:

2) A suggested packing list is available here.

3) By the Tuesday before Camp, a final parent email will be sent out with all the last-minute details: exact times, leaders' contact info, camp info, general info, and answers to any FAQs.

One final note: if you, your young adult children, or someone else you know would be interested in helping out at camp as part of our Work Crew or is a Certified Life Guard, would you please email Denise ([email protected]) and let her know? These roles are free to you, save us thousands of dollars, and help make camp even more life-changing for students.
