Oakwood Students Hospitality Team - Sundays and Wednesdays
Oakwod Students is creating a Hospitality Team that will come alongside our Weekly Meetings and help serve students in the Pavilion Kitchen area.
If you are a parent looking for a serve opportunity that can be flexible with your schedule, consider signing up on our Google Form.
Join us for one of our favorite traditions—our annual Church Picnic and River Baptism! This year’s picnic will be held on Sunday, September 27, immediately following the 11:00am service.
We’ll gather together at Lazy L&L Campgrounds on River Road to enjoy an afternoon of food, fellowship, and celebration. A free lunch will be provided, so just bring yourself, your family, and your appetite!
After lunch, we’ll move down to the river to celebrate with those taking their next step of faith through baptism. It’s a special time to cheer on and encourage those going public with their faith in Jesus.
If you would like to be baptized, please bring a towel and something appropriate to wear in the river.
Come ready to relax, connect with others, and celebrate what God is doing in the lives of our church family.

- Our Oakwood Students MDWK (midweek) starts on Wednesday, August 26.
- We meet in the Student Pavilion
MDWK Schedule:
- 6pm - Pizza and Hangout time
- 6:30 - Welcome, Game, Worship (Middle School and High School combined)
- 7pm - Teaching/Talk Time (Middle School in the Student Pavilion, High School in the "Upper Room")
- 7:30 - Small Group Breakouts by grade and gender
- 8pm - Dismiss

Over this past year, the First Priority Organization has specifically targeted South Texas and the San Antonio area to implement their nationally known evangelism strategy. As the San Antonio Director, Patrick Mankin, is currently taking steps to help begin First Priority Clubs in the New Braunfels and Boerne areas.
What First Priority Does:
First Priority helps students reach students with the hope of Jesus on their middle and high school campuses. Through student-led clubs and partnerships with local churches, we equip and encourage students to boldly live out and share their faith with their classmates.
Students reaching students. Churches working together. The hope of Christ on every campus.
There are several ways you can be part of what God is doing through First Priority at Oakwood Church.

See You At The Pole is Wednesday, September 23
It is always inspiring to see your students step up and share their hearts to the Lord through prayer. The Epic Bible Study coordinated See You At The Pole at Oakrun Middle School this morning. This is a great reminder for us all to pray for our schools and those in leadership today.

Our Middle School Service is 9:30AM in the Student Pavilion
- Students check in at the Student Pavilion
- Donuts and Juice are provided
- We have a welcome time, a crowd game, and worship with the student band.
- We then break out into small groups by grade and gender in the room for an interactive teaching/talk time.
- 10:45am is our dismissal time.
- You might want to plan a meeting place with your student after we dismiss.

>>Mother Daughter Event - Saturday, November 14
A special day for mothers and their middle and high school aged daughters to connect, grow, and strengthen their relationships.
- Together they will explore biblical identity, relationships, at-home discipleship, and healthy communication through worship, biblical teaching, and meaningful conversation.
- Our hope is for mothers and daughters to leave feeling more connected to God and to one another.
