Parents,
This Sunday at ROCC Youth, Pastor Corey will share a one-off message on the Parable of the Sower. In this passage, we find that Jesus shares the importance of allowing God's Word to stir us into action to grow deeper in our relationship with Him. On April 9, students will have an opportunity to do a self-guided worship experience during ROCC Youth. We will not have small groups that night to allow students to take their time during each of the stations we'll have set up around the church.
This Sunday we'll have a cookout fundraiser following the second service. Students can sign up online to help out at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c4fa9a92eaafa7-spring. We will give more directions on Sunday. They can plan to attend the first service and then meet me in the coffee bar at 11:30am to go over our game plan.
This Sunday is also the last day to register for the D:Now weekend we're hosting in April.
Last Friday, our sixth-grade girls hosted a benefit for the Hemphill family, whose daughter, Emma, has a rare form of bone cancer. Their goal was to raise $1000 at their movie night. They raised over $5000 (and money is still rolling in). We love seeing our students express love and strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus in simple yet powerful ways!
Enjoy Spring Break and I pray that the power of Christ's resurrection will be more real and evident than ever in the life of your family this month.
