Hello Crossroads Families!
Welcome to May - school lets out in a few weeks and summer will be upon us! There's lots to be excited about and looking forward to in the coming weeks. Here are just a few things to celebrate from the past month and to look forward to:
- One of our high school guys made a commitment for Christ after the Good Friday services! We're praising God for new spiritual life!
- 41 teens signed up to serve and lead at Summer Blast! That is our biggest group EVER. We can't wait to unleash them all to see what God does during Summer Blast week, May 31-June 3.
- High School Grad Recognition is just around the corner! We'll recognize our grads on Sunday May 17, during the morning services. Then we'll celebrate the end of the school year with Senior Night at Dive with a special guest speaker! If you have a graduating senior and want to make sure they're recognized during the celebration, you need to submit info and media by May 10! DETAILS HERE.
- We have a summer intern joining us from May 11-Aug 15! Payton is a pastoral studies major at Lancaster Bible College. He met Pastor Scott while on gap year in Costa Rica. He'll be working with our student ministry for the majority of his time here, but he'll also get opportunities with some of our other Crossroads staff along the way!
- We're just weeks away from construction being complete and the new youth room opening! Our team has been talking about what summer ministry looks like and we've landed on a combination of Sunday and Wednesday night gatherings. The reason is because if we only stick to Sundays for the summer, we have to cancel too many times for holidays and events (Summer Blast, Father's Day, 4th of July, and Challenge Conference). Instead, we'll also use Wednesday evenings for a Wednesday night summer Bible study. We'll have details coming soon.
